ONE-HIT WONDERS 0837: We salute One-Hit Wonders this week. A One-Hit Wonder is an artist who has great success with one song, then never has another hit worth reckoning with. In the 1950s and 1960s there were a great many one-hit wonders. Thatalso happened to be the Golden Age of Novelty Records, and we salute many of those. Toward the end of the show we also salute artists who had a single song place high on one or more of the Dr. Demento Show's year-end countdowns, but never enjoyed a followup hit.
