LIVE IN STUDIO 0829: An extra-special show this week: Every song in the second hour of the show was recorded live on the Dr Demento Show, between the mid-1970s and the mid-2000's. Many of these performances haven't been heard since their original broadcast years ago. Tom Stankus' "Existential Blues" is especially exciting, with lots of elements not heard on the currently available recorded version (including those "Impossible Dream" lines).
Along with the familiar September 1980 version of "Weird Al" Yankovic's "Another One Rides The Bus," online listeners (only) can hear Al's encore performance from April 1981...like "Existential Blues," this performance also has some extra added attractions.
