DR. DEMENTO LEADS JOHN FAHEY TRIBUTE IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA MARCH 23rd

Dr. Demento will be hosting a 75th Birthday tribute to the late John Fahey, Sunday afternoon, March 23 in Altadena, California (just north of Pasadena). Fahey, the highly influential guitarist and composer who originated the "American Primitive" genre merging country blues and avant-garde classical, will be celebrated in an event organized by Terry Roland and featuring guitarists Harry Taussig and Pete Steinberg along with Dr. Demento, who was Fahey's nextdoor neighbor and close friend in the 1960s, and compiled Rhino's Fahey collection "Return of the Repressed."
